Shambhala Music Festival 20th Anniversary Headliner Announcement
The most anticipated festival lineup announcement in electronic music community is finally HEEERRREEEEEE! Shambhala Music Festival will be celebrating their 20th anniversary year with some old favourites and new faces, both of which you know and love and will make this incredible milestone in the festivals’ history one to remember.
Over the past twenty years, the festival has delighted audiences from around the world who are seeking to connect with nature while gaining true exposure to groundbreaking new sounds and trends. Each of Shambhala’s six, independently operated stages are curated by their own Stage Director team – creating an immersive, unique experience in time and space. For this year’s festival The Pagoda Stage, known as Shambhala’s “temple of dance,” will be rebuilt from the ground up following a complete tear down last fall. Our beach-side source of beats and life,, The Living Room Stage, will also be experiencing a full rebuild. Exciting times!
Throughout its history, Shambhala has been known for booking up-and-coming talent, and the twentieth anniversary is no exception. Featuring artists like Crizzly, Illenium, Slushii, Medasin, Ivy Lab and Black Tiger Sex Machine on the bill, these fresh faces will be keeping some of our biggest names like A-Trak, Z-Trip, DJ Craze and Kill The Noise company as they find themselves side-by-side, in command of the most breathtaking festival stages the Pacific Northwest has to offer. We’re also especially keen on welcoming some new Canadian artists to the fold – some massive in stature, some still coming up: namely Adventure Club, Vanic, Shaun Frank, and POMO!
For long-time attendees seeking nostalgia, our lineup includes electronic music legends like The Orb, Pendulum, Stanton Warriors, Idjut Boys, and LTJ Bukem. Of course, Shambhala wouldn’t be the same without some of our household (or is it “campsite”?) names like Truth, A.Skillz, Justin Martin, Krafty Kuts, Excision, Datsik, Stylust Beats, Opiuo, Mat The Alien, Beats Antique, The Funk Hunters, and Fort Knox Five – just to name a handful.. Hip Hop is fully represented with Dilated Peoples, Araabmuzik, Jazzy Jeff, Chali 2na all onboard, while acts like internationally-celebrated duos Calyx & Teebee and Delta Heavy are holding down the Drum & Bass arena, amongst others. Our favourites in the realm of House, Breakbeats, Techno, Trap, Dubstep, World Beats, and Turntablism – they’re all in there!
Never heard of this festival until I came across it on your page! Jauz and Slushii will be down under next weekend but we never get so many good DJs in one place like this. Jealous!
