Modern Blues Rockers Head of the Herd To Release Deluxe Digital Edition Of Sophomore Album ‘By This Time Tomorrow’ April 29th‏

Hard at work in preparation for their upcoming 22-city national headline tour and summer festivals, Canadian modern blues rockers Head of the Herd have announced the release of a deluxe digital edition of their acclaimed sophomore album “By This Time Tomorrow” via Universal Music Canada.  Available at iTunes April 29th, the deluxe album includes two live recordings, the original demo of the chart topping title track “By This Time Tomorrow”, and most noteworthy – two remixes by Head of the Herd’s own Neu Mannas.

Blending the convention of bluesy rock traditions with the palpable enthusiasm of Rock n’ Roll, Head of the Herd are well known for their high-energy stage presence and ability to captivate an audience from the first note. Mannas and Clayton Frank boast a southern edge with whiskey infused vocals and touch of slide guitar and have been on the receiving end of a number of accolades for their striking 2013 break out release.

Nominated for three SiriusXM Indie Awards including ‘Single of the Year’, ‘Most Played Independent Artist/Group or Duo of the Year’ and ‘Emerging Artist of the Year’ as well as ‘Best New Rock Group’ at the Canadian Radio Music Awards, 2014 is shaping up to be another memorable year for the band.

“By This Time Tomorrow – Deluxe” includes the full studio discography in addition to remixed versions of second and third singles “Ain’t My Day” and “We Could Get Together”, Live at the Verge Session recordings of “Ain’t My Day” and “When I Met the Devil” and the original demo version of their debut-title track “By This Time Tomorrow”, which dominated airwaves and soared to #1 at Rock Radio.
“For the re-mixes the goal was to strip these songs down and rebuild them in a way that frames them beyond their original rock form,” says Head of the Herd lead singer Neu Mannas.  “We Could Get Together is more of a rap song when you get down to it.  I took the vocal performance and the drum groove, and put them in outer space.  All the while keeping off metronome just as Gggarth had done, so the song breathes and moves as it ought to.  The result is funky and melodic, without taking away from the rhythmic elements that made the original so unique.”

“By This Time Tomorrow” – produced by one of Rock music’s most sought after producers Gggarth Richardson alongside co-producers Rick Jackett and James Black from multi-platinum rock band Finger Eleven, is inimitable but accessible, with a sound unlike anything else currently at radio. The album garnered the attention of some of the music industry’s biggest tastemakers, and secured Head of the Herd an opening slot with Guns ‘n’ Roses in addition to shows alongside heavyweights Alice in Chains and The Sheepdogs.

Announced earlier this year, Head of the Herd will embark on a national headline tour beginning May 1st in Kelowna, BC. The band is also confirmed for a number of high profile festival plays this summer including Edgefest (July 1st), Boonstock Music Festival (August 1-3rd) with Macklemore, City & Colour, Armin Van Buuren, Rise Against and Mother Mother, Squamish Music Festival (August 8th) with Eminem, Bruno Mars and Arcade Fire and Kitchener Blues Festival (August 9th) with Buddy Guy.
