Tropicool and South London Ordnance set to play Vancouver Friday, March 7!
Vancouver: Tropicool (LA) and South London Ordnance (UK), two major names in the electronic music scene, descend on Vancouver B.C., Friday, March 7, 2014 to play the new monthly WHITE NOISE party from 9pm to 2am at The Electric Owl Social Club, 928 Main St.
WHITE NOISE, Vancouver’s newest monthly event founded by acclaimed DJs Pat Lok, WMNSTUDIES and Momantix combines the biggest names in electronic music with one hell of a party. Supported by an ever growing list of music industry professionals and corporate sponsors, the accolades of this event keep rolling in.
LA based DJ, Tropicool’s music is not just a sound; it’s a feeling. Flavours tease the pallet tangoing in musical bliss with the accompaniment of Steel Drums, Saxophone, Key-tar, and a funky baseline. The genre of sound has been self described as “sun-kissed tropical funky disco” and fan’s worldwide most definitely agree. The man behind the tropical shirt and funky feel good is David La Melza; Santa Barbara native, and good times engineer. He happens to be a founder of both GottaDanceDirty.com and Mindtai.com.
UK based DJ South London Ordnance has been cutting his teeth on 12″ singles in early 2012 for stalwarts of the UK scene and Well Rounded & 2nd Drop. South London Ordnance delivered his first full EP in September this year via Dutch tastemaker, Audio Culture. A single on Copenhagen based imprint TEAL followed – as well as a remix EP on the label, featuring productions by West Norwood Casette Library & Jared Wilson. Remixes have included work for Warp and Rinse Recordings. Over the course of three 12″ singles and one five track EP, support has come courtesy of Jamie XX, Scuba, Benji B, Mary Ann Hobbes, Mosca, Claude Vonstroke, Richie Hawtin & more – across both clubland and the airwaves.
