PANAMA RELEASES ALWAYS EP IN THE U.S. ON MARCH 4TH VIA 300 ENTERTAINMENT
After an explosive 2013 and poised to become one of the best breakouts acts of 2014, Australian three-piece Panama show no sign of slowing down. The highly anticipated release of their sophomore EP, Always, originally released by Future Classic, saw Panama soar to the top of the Hype Machine charts, accruing over 1.3 million Soundcloud plays, BBC Radio 1 airplay and taking out a coveted spot in Triple J’s iconic Hottest 100. To celebrate the re-release of the Always EP in the States (out March 4th via 300 Entertainment), the deluxe package will include bonus track and crowd favorite, “Strange Feeling,” which was premiered earlier today by FILTER. Having just finished a series of sold-out headline shows and festivals across their home soil, Panama will play SXSW this March. More U.S. tour dates will be announced later this year.

The Always EP leads with the anthemic title track “Always,” recorded in San Francisco with and produced by Eric Broucek (!!!, Classixx, Holy Ghost!, Hercules & Love Affair). “Always” has enjoyed worldwide radio success, with airplay on BBC Radio 1 and 2. The track was the #1 most played track on Australia’s national youth broadcaster, Triple J, at the end of 2013 as well as taking out the #80 spot in Triple J’s Hottest 100. Remixes by Classixx and Australian producer Wave Racer received significant attention with the Wave Racer remix generating over 1.2 million Soundcloud spins. Fronted by Perth-born songwriter and classically-trained pianist, Jarrah McCleary, the self-produced second track, “How We Feel” was recorded at McCleary’s home studio and explores Panama’s unique brand of hopeful house music. The EP closes out with the Drive soundtrack-inspired dark horse,“Destroyer,” also recorded in the sessions with Broucek.
