On the heels of a highly successful, critically acclaimed 2013 festival (which sold-out in a record 90 minutes) Sasquatch! is set to expand in 2014. The festival will return to The Gorge—the internationally lauded and Billboard “Top Amphitheater” award-winning concert venue carved in the basalt cliffs high above the Columbia River Gorge in Quincy, WA—for not only one, but two weekends. Each weekend—May 23-25 (Memorial Day) and July 4-6 (Fourth of July)—will feature completely separate lineups, which will be announced in full in February. A limited number of discounted 3-day festival passes will be available in time for the holiday gift season on Friday, November 29 at 9:00 a.m. (PST) via sasquatchfestival.com and will remain available through 11:45 p.m. December 31 (or while supplies last). Discounted passes are available if purchasing both weekends.
Festival creator Adam Zacks founded Sasquatch! in 2002 with the aim of building an event that catered to the eclectic tastes of voracious music enthusiasts. Personally programming the lineups for each Sasquatch! Festival, Zacks handpicks a diverse array of performers with a tradition of presenting critically acclaimed emerging artists alongside established headliners. Previous lineups have spanned a broad spectrum of genres with an independent spirit including: Arcade Fire, Beastie Boys, The Black Keys, Coldplay, Foo Fighters, Mumford & Sons, R.E.M. and hundreds more. The festival has also earned a reputation for programming top emerging comedy acts like Flight of the Conchords, Zach Galifianakis and Sarah Silverman. Says Zacks, “There has never been a time in history with as much access to new music as we are experiencing right now. We are excited to offer two unique weekends to explore over 200 of the best and brightest in this golden era of music discovery.”
Produced by Live Nation and Adam Zacks
