Songwriter’s Circle & iPod Drive for Music Heals… Hosted By Lydia Hol

TONIGHT one of this years Peak Performance Project contestants the lovely Miss Lydia Hol will host a Songwriter’s Circle for Music Heals. The not-for-profit charitable foundation has been formed to help promote awareness of the healing powers of Music and to help raise funds for Music Therapy and related services across Canada.  The charitable event will take place at Vancouver’s Biltmore Cabaret and in addition to a full headline set by Hol, the evening will include an intimate songwriter’s circle featuring some of Vancouver’s favourite artists, Ryan Guldemond from Mother Mother, Dominique Fricot, Hilary Grist and Head of the Herd.

From September 15th to October 15th, Hol is asking everyone to donate their unused iPods and MP3 players to Music Heals to be used by music therapists in hospitals, palliative care, senior’s homes, at-risk youth programs, rehabilitation and more.  Drop off locations include Long & McQuade locations across BC, The Biltmore Cabaret (Vancouver), Open Door Yoga (Vancouver), Nimbus and Live Yoga (Vancouver).
Tickets for tonights event can be purchased at Northern Tickets, Redcat Records and Zulu Records with all proceeds going to Music Heals.
